What started as a simple idea on our farm, with just 12 people and a shared belief that good food should feed people, not go to waste, became something much bigger in 2026.
This year, Ugly Potato Day by Odd Bunch brought our community together across two locations in British Columbia, feeding more than 30,000 families, distributing more than 543,501 lbs (246,528.61 kg) of produce in Surrey and 120,000 lbs in Kelowna. Achieving a Guinness World Record for the most produce donated in 24 hours, with a special appearance from motivational speaker Tony Robbins.

Ugly Potato Day by Odd Bunch 2026 took place in Kelowna and Surrey, bringing together families, volunteers, farmers, sponsors, partners, and community members for two unforgettable events.
The mission was simple: rescue perfectly good produce that might otherwise go to waste and get it into the hands of people who could use it. But the scale was anything but simple.
Across both locations, more than 30,000 families were fed, with an incredible amount of fresh produce distributed to communities across British Columbia. From potatoes and carrots to fruits and vegetables, every bag represented a family being supported with fresh food that would otherwise have gone to waste.
We Made Guinness World Record History
Ugly Potato Day by Odd Bunch 2026 made history, and it happened in Surrey. Together with our incredible team, we set a Guinness World Record for the most produce donated in 24 hours, with 543,501 lbs donated. But the record is about much more than a number.
Every pound represented food given a second chance and put toward feeding people instead of going to waste. Behind that number were thousands of families, people in need, and kids filling their bags and learning about food waste. Volunteers moved mountains of produce, farmers contributed their food, partners made the logistics possible, and an entire community showed up to make history.
This record belongs to everyone who played a part!
Tony Robbins Joins Us for a Historic Moment
One of the most memorable moments of Ugly Potato Day 2026 was having Tony Robbins join us in Surrey for the Guinness World Record attempt.
Tony brought his energy and support to a day that was already unlike anything we had experienced before. His presence also helped bring the world one step closer to the goal of 100 Billion Meals.
His appearance helped shine an even brighter spotlight on the bigger mission behind Ugly Potato Day by Odd Bunch: bringing people together, rescuing good food, and creating meaningful impact in our communities.
It was a powerful reminder that what we're building through Ugly Potato Day by Odd Bunch is part of something much bigger, and that we can all play a role in helping it grow.

An event of this size doesn't happen without an enormous team behind it. From the farmers and food rescue partners who make the produce possible, to the volunteers who showed up early and stayed late, to the sponsors, event crews, security teams, traffic teams, and everyone working behind the scenes, Ugly Potato Day by Odd Bunch 2026 was truly a community effort.
And then there were the thousands of people who came through our doors. Families filled their bags. Kids got to see food rescue in action. Community members came together. And people got to experience firsthand that food doesn't have to look perfect to be
delicious. Everyone played a part in showing that ugly food deserves a place on the table, too.
The biggest takeaway from Ugly Potato Day by Odd Bunch 2026 isn't simply the amount of produce we distributed or the record we broke. It's the impact behind those numbers.
